Our story begins in late 2005 when my best friend and co - worker my Dad ("and To whom I dedicate this site ") was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. The 2 of us were very close since my mother had died of cancer when I was 8 months old and 6 months prior my Dad also had lost his Father to this same horribble disease!! Yes what luck as both only children we were rasied by my Grandmother my Dads Mom an Italian immigrant who came to America in 1908 at the age of 2; she was our rock throughout her years till her peaceful passing in 1994. My Dad a retired Ironworker and I also worked in the same trade after 22 years became disabled in 04. As 2005 came my Dad who could never sit still always the need to keep busy began to slow down but in a very unusal manor. By mid - October he bagan feeling pains in his chest; it was now time to see what was the problem and after a few weeks as we both suspected Cancer of the lung stage 3. A battle for survival began immediatly for anyone who has ever been or is, or God pray for you one day you become an only parents sole care-giver it is a task of unmeasurable unrewarded valor; the most difficult task ever is trying to keep a loved one alive a battle that becomes so surreal your world disappears and for a long time your experiance will change your life forever; by early 2007 depression with my Dad and myself become so strong you could litterally slice it with a knife. It was time to break it down some how and a puppy was the answer. On March 1, 2007 I came home with a 6 week old Boston Terrier!! So small and crying while snugging up so close into my stomach for the 10 minute ride to his new home if only he knew what he was getting into! As I opened the door and walked in with an 8" - 8 lbs. BT my Dads first words were "Oh know!! what is it?" I said a puppy BT he said "Is it a male"? Yes!! he then gave the pup his name BUCK !! I dont know why I didnt ask I was just happy to see his face change!                                               Buck had changed my Dads sadness h became more and more his old self. I could not believe how the                                             two took to eachother Buck would follow him all over lay on his chest as to comfort him but as the                                                    summer turned to fall so did my Dads health with back and forths to the hospital more and more frequent                                            and as I brought him home for his last days Buck would stay near him ever close on that final night as                                            I seen Buck laying near his feet as I walked back in the room Buck no longer at his feet but at the                                                  doorway; I knew my Dad had passed on 11/2/07. Buck had become my Dads loyal confidant and now                                                  mine. For the next few years Buck would keep vigil at the spot my Father lay on the bed and he could                                                 not be moved at these times. It is ever true a Dogs love for his master never ends. As time moved on                                              I would always purchase clothing for Buck cool looking shirts, collars, bandana , toys!! I spoiled him                                              for the loyalty he gave. By 2011 while in an unamed large store I began to notice poorly stocked items                                                  and hardly ever neatly placed & unpackaged; for my money I want quality also my pup is my                                                       a family member just as I would purchase for myself I wanted the same for this little guy I began to purchase products online where quality was much better but prices I knew I could do better and beat the price of some others. So I decided with time at my hands, the Love of Dogs, a bit of an investent I would try to do an online business with a small amount of stock quality products and items hard to find in many stores I put my hands & heart into a new venture. The name I picked out would have my little mans name as part of the business along with the sale of clothing I decided on Buck - Wear or BW; and yes Buck is the CEO and co-founder along with partner. As a few years passed I also would go off to local flee markets a few days a week. I would hear comments and suggestions of what people wanted and we grew as every season changed. Our main goal is to give each and every costomer A1 and an above great product/s with fine quality and clean well packaged items quick service and delivery and all at affordable prices after all we want you back. But what we really take pride in from the very beging since our products deal with Dogs we needed to give back to those poor pets who don't all have the or get the love and care they so deserve. From the time of our very first sale we have donated 10% of each and all purchased items to the ASPCA. We will from time to time have themed shirts or toys such as our Breast Cancer Loofa in which we still donate 10% but also donate an additional 40% to the BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION. It is a wonderful way for everyone to help. So keep an eye out for our listed theme products.
